21 States Claiming Sovereignty: AZ, AL, AK, AR, CA, CO, GA, HI, ID, IN, KS, ME, MI, MO, MT, NH, NV, OK, PA, TX, & WA
By Ernest Hancock
Freedom’s Phoenix | Wow… it will be interesting to see how this turns out… it’s about time people started stepping up and speaking out. As people have pointed out in comments, all of these (except for HI) are explicit restatements of what has always been in place, but not necessarily enforced, as detailed by the 10th Amendment. HI is actually aiming for total sovereignty as it is claimed that HI was never really a state of the U.S. to begin with. However, I believe the intent of these bills is to let the federal government know that the states’ sovereignty will not be overwritten… say in case certain gun ban laws get passed… or other “War Time / Martial Law” type plans come into play. HR 95 to be introduced into PA Legislature by Rep. Sam Rohrer,
http://samrohrer.com/uploads/10thAmendment-HR.pdf, is a resolution proclaiming and reasserting Pennsylvania state government's independence and sovereignty from the federal government, by reminding federal authorities about the U.S. Constitution's Tenth Amendment limitations on their powers and calling on them to cease and desist with all activities that infringe on the powers reserved to the state of Pennsylvania and its citizens.
The bill has not been officially introduced and, therefore, cannot be tracked yet. However, Rep Rohrer is currently in the process of asking fellow state representatives to consider co-sponsoring HR 95, and anticipates that it will be introduced within the next few weeks.
He is asking PA residents to contact their House member and strongly urge them to support this measure to protect Pennsylvania’s independence. Please encourage your family members, friends and acquaintances who are Pennsylvania residents to do the same. If your representative is already a co-sponsor thank them for their support and strongly encourage them to stay the course regarding this bill. You can find your representative at http://www.pahousegop.com/?sectionid=38§iontree=4,38

Additionally, he's planning a 10th Amendment rally at noon on Monday, March 16, 2009, at the Rotunda in the Capitol Building in Harrisburg. Those interested in attending can contact his district office (610.775.5130) for more specifics.
Btw, Rep. Rohrer has been leading the fight against implementation of the REAL ID Act of 2005 mandates in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
